STL Fashion Alliance is a non-profit organization brought to you by individuals who have been advocating for St. Louis fashion for years. Your success is our success! Let’s work together to grow in our own businesses and as part of a thriving ecosystem, driving the development of the local fashion industry at large.
We live in a digital world, and it’s more important today than it has ever been to connect virtually. The aim of our online platform is to provide you with all the resources you may need to keep your finger on the pulse and integrate with the local industry to expand and grow.
Our mission is to provide access and resources to St. Louis fashion professionals with the goal of recreating our dominance in the fashion industry as a global force.
Meet the Team!
Kristin, Co-Founder and Director of Operations
Kristin Phommaly graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design from Lindenwood University in 2011 and has since designed for brands in St. Louis and New York, launched her own label, and grown what has become St. Louis’ biggest independent fashion show. Through all her endeavors, including co-owning a vintage shop off Cherokee and starting a non-profit offering free sewing classes to children, Kristin is moved by the talent she sees in her hometown and dedicated to support and uplift the creatives within the local communities. In an effort to bridge the gap between the local communities, Kristin and a fantastic group of interns started STL Fashion Alliance’s platform with a comprehensive directory, events calendar, and publication. After searching for the perfect partnership, Kristin is now thrilled to see what the future holds for STL Fashion Alliance at the helm of Audra Harrold. Random facts about Kristin: She’s a yoga teacher, hates waiting in lines, loves Indian food, and most importantly, recently became a new mom to the sweetest boy in the world. A Favorite quote: “Do one thing every day that scares you.” – Eleanor Roosevelt |
Audra, Co-Founder and Executive Director
Audra Harrold brings designer, manufacturing, and nonprofit expertise to STL Fashion Alliance including first-hand entrepreneurial experience from her equestrian sport brand. Audra weathered the idiosyncrasies, mechanics, successes, and failures of navigating an apparel line from ideation to consumer. Her involvement with small batch manufacturing provided a full circle understanding of the process from product development through production. Her participation within the St. Louis fashion community, combined with her previous non-profit experience working with the American Cancer Society in community programing, development, and media relations, and the Saint Louis Fashion Fund as program director round out her skillset. She is passionate about St. Louis fashion and is committed to propelling business forward and upward through connection, education, and creatively orchestrated events that are an exceptional fun time for all. Random facts about Audra: She has three boxer dogs (Bentley, Lollipop and Sassy Lou Who), a bearded dragon named Rose, is not a fan of olives or mushrooms, and loves to escape the real world with a good fiction book. A Favorite quote: “Sometimes you have to rethink the things you thought you thought through” – Winnie the Pooh |
Arin, Social Media Manager
Arin Froidl graduated from Lindenwood University in 2021 with a BA in Mass Communications and a BS in Fashion Business & Entrepreneurship. She began working with Kristin in 2018 and has served in many different roles from media manager to vendor coordinator and more. For STL Fashion Alliance, Arin is the main editor of the site, so all grammatical errors can be sent to her. She also manages the Instagram & Facebook for STLFA. Independently, she has written locally for Stars Design Group and interned for Barrett Barrera Projects. Random facts about Arin: She enjoys making TikToks of her guinea pigs, knows extensive history about the mini skirt, loves the Oxford comma, and is proudly left-handed.
