Tonya Boddie-McGhee
Lila Mae Designs
Lila Mae is the dream of Tonya Boddie McGhee and is named after her beloved maternal grandmother, Lila Mae Jackson Freed, who was and still is a source of inspiration of all things fashion.
It was while studying fashion design at Tuskegee University that Tonya developed an interest in jewelry design. During this discovery she also developed a love for semi-precious stones, especially in their raw, rough form. Upon completion of her education from Tuskegee, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she decided to enhance her jewelry design skills by studying metalsmithing, glass bead making, and glass fusing.
Lila Mae pieces are handcrafted using a variety of materials such as genuine semi-precious stones in various finishes along with a variety of metals such as sterling and fine silver.
Lila Mae designs are innovative and created with the fashion forward woman in mind…the woman who isn’t afraid of fashion, the woman who isn’t afraid to stand out, the woman who can make a statement without uttering a single word.

Michael Shead
Michael Shead
My dream has always been to create, and for the last ten years I have been fortunate enough to live that dream. As a designer and makeup artist my goal has been to create work that helps shine a spotlight on the beauty and strength of women.
This mission helped guide me through the selection processes for Making the Cut (Amazon Prime Video), where I was a semi-finalist, and Project Runway (Bravo). It has also helped lead to my work being featured in numerous editorials for local design publications and used by Luichiny Ltd. for a global advertising campaign.
In addition to designing, I work to help build the local fashion community through creating fashion focused educational opportunities for youth and sitting on panels as an industry expert. As a self-taught designer, teaching classes focused on basics, like sewing and draping, has helped give students a head start at developing the skills they will need to be successful. I have been asked to sit on review panels for local design programs. I have also participated as a panelist during local community panel discussions on “Diversity in Fashion” and “The Future of Fashion.”
July 2021 Michael was hand picked by Andre Leon Tally to be featured on the Tamron Hall Show as one of America’s up and coming designers. To watch the segment click here.
